Filmed in the collection of the Museum of natural History of Paris and in the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature, carnivores and birds are appearing for a split second in front of our gaze. Those are taxidermies of non-European animals referring to the colonial era.
The film hints to a multitude of feelings from the fascination to the fear we can experience in reading Lewis Caroll. This strangeness is reinforced with the sound. Between ubiquity a non-existence, the animal, toy or trophy is sublimated beyond its usual representation.
